NOTE: There is a Power of Attorney later in this document dated 1845 from James W. Robertson to Jacob Ing. It states that James W. Robertson is now of Henry County, TN, but he is not listed in Henry County, TN's 1850 Census though there are many James Robertson's in TN in the 1850 census I have no way at present of knowing which, if any, is this James Robertson

[the jurors names are then listed] who say they find all the issues in favour of the Plaintiff and assess his Damages to six Dollars and Seventy four cents ($6.74/100) and cost - amount of Debt seven dollars and Ninety six Cents ($7.96/100) subject to the opinion of this Court on question amendment. Amendment permitted upon Terms that the Judgment is not to affect the security for appeal from Judgment of [Justice] to the County Court but that he be [ ] discharged from all liability.
There are entries for the orphans of Allen Robertson on pages 476 - 1825 accounting by Jacob Ing, Guardian. There is no full listing of the children's names. The other page is 322 which reads as follows:

In the name of God Amen. I, Peter Robertson of Edgecomb County and State of North Carolina being of sound and perfect mind and memory (blessed be God) do this Twelfth day of December in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and Twenty three make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner following:
First. I desire my just debts to be paid.
I lend to my dear wife all my Estate during her natural life and after her decease I lend to my daughter Nancy and her daughter Polly Williams my house and out houses together with the plantation and conveniences thereof during their single life and after their decease or marriage, I give and bequeath to Rebeccah, James A. Rhoda and Allen Robertson (children of my son Allen Robertson dec'd, all my land whereof I am [su-'d] and possess'd of. To be equally divided among the aforesaid named children. I desire my daughter in law Polly Robertson to live where she now does during her natural life or widowhood and have privilege within the bounds of my path beginning at the Road near M. Adam's Corner thereon along the path until it strikes W. Stallings' path, then along the said path [ ] and [ ] [ ] the Road near [ ][line/live]. I give to my son John Robertson [ ].
Item. I give to my daughter Rhoda Pope one Feather bed and furniture.
Item. I give to my grand daughter Polly William Robertson one feather bed and furniture, one [ ] called [] and ten dollars.
Item. I give to my daughter Nancy Robertson one Feather bed and Furniture two tables and that part of the [ ] [ ] called [ ].
Item. The balance of my property to be Equally divided among my three daughters/viz Nancy Robertson, Betsy Walkins and Rhoda Pope.
And I hereby make and ordain my Friends Richmond Dozier and John Pope executors of this my Last Will and Testament. In Witness whereof, I the said Peter Robertson have to this my last will and Testament set my hand and seal the day and year above written.
Signed sealed published and [ ] by the said Peter Robertson the Testator on his last will and Testament in the presence of us who now present at this time of signing and sealing thereof.
Edgecombe County November Court 1824 The within last Will and Testament of Peter Robertson dec'd was exhibited in open court for Probate and was proven by the oath of Henry Adams one of the subscribing witnesses thereto. The Indenture made this thirteenth day of August in the year of our Lord one Thousand Eight Hundred and twenty between Peter Robertson of the County of Edgecomb and state North Carolina of the one part and the lawful Children of Allen Robertson dec'd of the County and State aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the love and affection which I bear said children do give and convey to said children all my right and title to a certain parcel of Land being and lying within the boundary of my land, Specific, by marked trees as follows beginning at a pine not far from the North west corner of the House then nearly South to a [sloping Hickory] then nearly East to a black Jack then nearly north to a [susafras] then nearly West to the beginning containing more or less one acre intending to convey a certain House partly finished by said Allen Robertson to his Children, their Heirs and assigns forever to have and to hold said land together with all appurtenances or improvements thereunto belonging or in any wife appertaining.
The within deed of gift was duly exhibited in open Court proved by he oath of Isaac [Brasher] ordered to be recorded. Test. Mich Hearn C.C.
This Indenture made this 29th of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and four Between William Robertson of the State of North Carolina and Edgecombe County of the one part and Zachariah Maner of the County and state aforesaid of the other part, Witnesseth that for and in the Consideration of the sum of six hundred and fifty silver Dollars in hand paid to the Sd. William Robertson by the said Zachariah Maner at or before the ensealing and delivery of these the receipt thereof I do hereby acknolwedge myself fully satisfied Contented and paid I do bargain and sell confirm Convey and sel-over unto Zachariah Maner and his heirs and assigns forever one tract or parcel of Land with all appurtenances thereunto belonging to or appertaining it Containing by Estimation two hundred and seventy acres be the same more or less and Bounded as follows (viz) lying and being in the County of Edgecombe Beginning on the No side of Beach Run Swamp Begining at the mouth of a Branch on Wiley Robertson line, thence up the said Branch to a literd stump on the road, then up the road to a corner hickrey on Ruben Roses line, thence east along said line to a Corner pine, thence So along Odoms line to a Corner pine, thence west along Odoms lins to a white Oak on Willis Stallings line, thence south along Stallings line to a Corner hickrey, thence West along Stalling line to the swamp, thence up by the Run of swamp to the begining To Have and to hold the above mentioned tract of land together with every Benefit privilege and appuretenances thereunto belong to the said Zachariah Maner his heirs and assigns forever and that the said Zachariah Maner his heirs and Assigns may hereafter [user] have hold occupy and enjoy all the above bargained premises and said William Robertson for himself his heirs and assigns doth promise that the above said premises is clear from all other sales morgages Dues Judgments and incumbrances whatsoever and warrant and for Defend against the Lawfull Claim and Demands of any person or persons whatsoever and the same will Defend of any person or persons whatsoever and the same will Defend unto the said Zachariah Maner and his heirs and assigns forever. I have hereunto set and affixed my seal the day and year above written.
In obediance to an order of Court issued Nov. Term 1807 We the subscribers have Laid off and divided the land of Hardy Roberson between the lawfull heirs of said Dec'd as the above plan represents to Wit No. 1 Begin for Patsey Varish at a port oak on the North side of contentnea creek and run No. 80 Et. 71 pole to the run of the little swamp then down the same as it runs So. 7 Et. 117 poles to a white oak on the run of said swamp then Et. 95 pole to a water oak on the run of Hommany swamp then down the run of said swamp as it meanders to a sweet gum the old corner on said run then Wt. 68 pole to a black gum I the Creek then up the same as it meanders to the first Station Containing sixty severn acres. This Indenture made this the 30th day of November in the year of Lord one thousand Eight hundred and forty Two between Allen W. Robertson and Rhoda Robertson of the County of Edgecombe and State of North Carolina of the one part and Joseph W. Mainer of the County and State aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of one Hundred and Sixty dollars and fifty cents, in hand paid to the said Allen and Rhoda Robertson had bargained sold and confirmed to said Mainer and by these presents doth bargain sell and confirm unto the said Mainer his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of undivided Land, lying in the County of Edgecombe and State aforesaid on the North side of Birch Run and bounded as follows (viz) Beginning at a pine (and Sweet Gum on the road Tabbitha Hopkins corner then along said Hopkins and J.J. Phillips line south 146 poles to a small branch then the same course continued 49 1/2 poles to Read Oaks Phillips corner then along his other line West 66 poles to the aforesaid branch then course continued 44 poles to a black gum in beach Run then up the wanders of the same to a black gum in Adams corner then along Adams line No. 20 # 86 Poles to a bay tree in a small drain then N 48 E 90 poles to a pine then N 6 (degrees) West 49 poles to a hickory Adams corner on the Road then along the road 121 poles to the first station said whole tract containing 213 1/4 acres. To have and to hold unto the said Mainer the above named bargained premises to him his heirs and assigns forever and they the said Allen and Rhoda Robertson bind themselves heirs Executors administrators and assigns to warrant and defend the rite and title of the above bargained premises unto the said Joseph W. Mainer his heirs and assigns forever against the lawful claim or claims of any person or persons whatsoever. Allen Robertson - his markKnow all men by these presents that I James W. Robertson of the County of Henry and state of Tennessee have constituted and appointed and do by these presents constitute and appoint Jacob Ing of the County Nash and State of North Carolina my true and lawfull agent and attorney in fact for me and in my name to sell and convey by good and sufficient conveyance in fee simple with general warranty a certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the county of Edgecomb and State aforesaid butted and bounded as follows to wit lying on Beach Run bounded by Thos L. Maner James I Philips and others which sale my said attorney in fact is hereby authorized to make for cash or on credit according to his discretion and I do further authorize and impower my said attorney for me and in my name to receive and receipt for all such sum or sums of money as may be contracted to be given as the consideration of said land hereby satisfying and confirming whatsoever acts and things my said attorney may do in the premises in as full and ample manner as if I had been personally present and done the same myself. Personally appeared before me Constantine Frazier Clerk of the County Court for said County James w. Robertson the [?] to the foregoing Power of Attorney with whom I am personally acquainted and acknowledged that he had executed the same on the day it bears date and for the purposes therein construed. In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of said court at office in the Town of Paris the 13th day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and forty five and the 70th year of American Independence. I Thomas K. Porter Chairman and presiding Justice for said County do hereby certify that Constantine Frazier whos signature appears above is now and was at the time of doing the same acting Clerk of said Court duly elected and qualified to act and that his attestation is in due form of law. Given under my hand at office in Paris the 13th of December 1845.
I Constantine Frazier Clerk of the County Court for said County do hereby certify that Thomas K. Porter whose signature appears to the foregoing certaficace is now and was at the time of signing the same the chairman and presiding magistrar of said Court duly elected and qualifyed according to law and that his Certifcal is in due form of law and that full faith and Credit is and ought to be given his official acts as such In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of said Court at office in the Town of Paris the 13th day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty five and the 70th year of American Independence.
The foregoing Deed of conveyance is duly exhibited in open court for an order of Registration and its authentications therewith annexed being approved by the court the same together with the certificates annexed are ordered to be registered. Tst. Jno Norfleet clk
The indenture made this 5th day March one thousand Eight hundred and forty six between Jacob Ing of Nash County as agent for James W. Robertson of the State of Tennessee of the one part and Thos. L. Maner of the Edge County both of the State of North Carolina Witnesseth that the said Jacob Ing as agent for James W. Robertson for and in consideration of the sum of Eighty Dollars to him in hand paid by the said Thos L. hath granted bargained and sold James W. Robertsons interest in Two hundred and thirteen acres of land lying in Edge-comb county and on the North side of Beach Run Swamp and bounded as follows on the West by Henry Adams North by Tabbitha Hopkins East by Jas I. Philips and south by the said Thos L which said land will [?] and the said Jacob Ing as agent for said James W. doth warrant and defend the said land and premises to said Thos L his heirs and assigns forever from the lawfull claims of any person or persons whatsoever In Witness I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this the day and date above written.
The execution of the foregoing deed of Sale is duly proved in open court by the oath of John H. Wells one of the subscribing witnesses thereof and is ordered to be registered. Test. Jno Norfleet clk
